1883-1931, age 48, born bsharri lebanon. he was a lebanese-american writer, poet and visual artist. his best known work is ‘the prophet’ published in the usa in 1923 and provides spiritual wisdom on giving, drinking, eating, religion and many other subjects. he settled in new york in 1911.
